    Monica Rose Designs |

    Monica Rose Designs |

This can be done by either painting existing cabinets a lighter colour or also by changing the hardware to more contemporary pulls or handles. Monica Rose Designs |

This can be done by removing the grungy silicone around the perimeter of the tub or shower base and re-caulking with fresh silicone. • Group accessories into focal point areas

    Monica Rose Designs |

Having too many accessories scattered throughout a house is similar to having too much clutter. Edit accessories into clear focal point areas like the dining room table, coffee table, fireplace mantle, dining room sideboard etc. You also don't want to eliminate all of your accessories as this can make a home feel sterile and unlived in. You want to strike a good balance between making a home feel inviting but without feeling over personalized.

  • Change flooring to be more uniform

    Monica Rose Designs |

Also one of the more expensive upgrades you can do but it can have a huge impact. If you have old stained carpets mixed with vinyl flooring try updating to a laminate floor throughout. Laminate or engineered hardwood especially in a wider plank look (at least 5" wide) will update the entire look of your home.
